Abstract
Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, farklı kariyer evrelerinde bulunan okul müdürlerinin beklentilerini, karşı karşıya kaldıkları sorunları ve sorunlara karşı çözüm önerilerini ortaya çıkarmaktır. Nitel araştırma yaklaşımının temel nitel araştırma desenine uygun olarak bu araştırma gerçekleştirilmiştir. Katılımcılar amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden olan ölçüt örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilmiştir. Araştırmanın katılımcılarını, 2020-2021 eğitim öğretim yılında İstanbul Avrupa Yakasında görev yapan farklı kariyer evresinde bulunan 20 ilkokul müdürü oluşturmaktadır. Çalışma kapsamında yarı yapılandırılmış form kullanılarak 20 okul müdürü ile yüz yüze görüşmeler gerçekleştirilerek veriler toplanmıştır. Bu verilerin yorumlanmasında tümdengelimci içerik analizi kullanılmıştır. Bu bağlamda ortaya çıkan sonuçlara bakıldığında okul müdürlerinin genel olarak alan yazınla örtüşen sorunları dile getirdikleri görülmüştür. Okul müdürlerinin kariyer ve kariyer evresi hakkındaki görüş ve düşünceleri Bakioğlu’nun (1996) yaptığı çalışmaya paralel olduğu görülmüştür. Bunlara ek olarak müdürler farklı evrelerde farklı durumları sorun olarak ifade etmişlerdir. Kariyer girişi evresinde bürokrasi sorunları, durulma evresinde sahadan fikir alınmadığı, deneycilik evresinde veli desteğinin eksikliği ve uzmanlık evresinde veli iş birliğinin olmayışı ve çalışmaların amaca uygun ve uygulanabilir olmadığını ifade etmişlerdir. Tüm bunlar göz önüne alındığında bir öneri olarak tüm okul müdürlerinin bahsettikleri finansal sorunların çözümü çalışmaları gerçekleştirilmelidir.

Abstract
The main purpose of this study is to reveal the expectations of school principals in different career stages, the problems they face and the solutions to the problems. This research was carried out in accordance with the basic qualitative research method of the qualitative research approach. Participants were selected by the criterion sampling method, which is one of the purposive sampling methods. The participants of the research consist of 20 primary school principals in different career stages working in the European Side of Istanbul in the 2020-2021 academic year. The data were obtained by face-to-face interviews with 20 school principals using a semi-structured form within the scope of the study. Deductive content analysis method was used to interpret this data. Considering the results in this context, it was seen that school principals generally expressed the problems that overlap with the literature. It has been observed that the views and thoughts of school principals about career and career stage are parallel to Bakioğlu's study in 1996. In addition to these, school principals expressed different situations as problems at different stages. They also stated that the problem of bureaucracy in the first stage of their career, the problem of not getting ideas from the field during the calmness stage, the lack of parent support in the activism stage, the lack of parent cooperation in the expertise stage, and the studies are not suitable and applicable. Considering all these, as a suggestion, studies should be carried out to solve the financial problems mentioned by all school principals.
